I wish you become independent: Art of Cooking with Kids

July 25, 2016

Independence does not only mean “Free” but it also mean “Self-reliant”. Cooking helped me feel my independence.

Hey Son, I wish you too feel the same. You too learn this powerful art- Your Gender should not come in between your learning.

In this Era, when role demarcations are withering and each one of us is having a race to run- You should not always count on someone for Bread.

I want you to learn this vital skill and prepare you for life when you will not be under my roof.

I have a plan, Son:

LEVELS OF COOKING WITH KIDS

cooking with kids

BEGINNER: 2-3 years /SECOND LEVEL: 4-5 years/THIRD LEVEL: 6-7 years/FOURTH LEVEL: 8-9 years/FIFTH LEVEL: 10-12 years

Learning will never stop, not even for me. However, it will create a base to begin the learning curve in the Kitchen.

  • Very well said. My husband actually cooks way better than I can and it’s all thanks to the interest his parents inculcated in him at a very early age. It’s a life skill, for sure 🙂

Good luck with the task, Upasana and may the child blossom in his learning.

    • Wow, that’s great. Lucky you Mam. You are right, only we can inculcate the habits in them.
Thanks, I would be happy if I could make him fall in love with this art.

You are right Upasna. In this era, boys should not be denied the life skill of cooking and the ability to be sustain for themselves. A question – do you conduct cooking classes for children? This I am asking since you have listed different levels.

    • No No Anamika, I don’t conduct classes but I created levels for myself to make teaching easy and hassle free. Thanks for passing by.
