Hug Day is my favorite among all the days of so called “Love Week”. While I was strengthening my reading habit, I have come across an article stressing the need of wrapped arms around us. The surprising fact was-
“We Need at Least 4 Hugs a Day”.
It sounds like a addition in Calorie chart where we can fulfill our need for “Oxytocin” through a Magic called Hug. For those who is new to this term-
Oxytocin is a fascinating pituitary hormone that reduces pain and increases calmness, known as a bonding hormone. It heals the feelings of loneliness, isolation, and anger.
Wow, we can measure that- 8 hugs and you are done for the day. It seems so easy, Isn’t it.
Thinking myself at the receiving end, there seems one to many relationship- so many people to receive the daily dose from. This is so much related to “Self Love”- The one who receive love from others tend to be in love with oneself which is a healthy habit.
In the world full of Stress today, this therapy can come handy.
Do I get that much or should I think other way round..Do I give that much? Should I ask for it or Expect them to come my way. Do I deserve this much? Did my actions in the past accounted for this magical herb.
Lots of questions knocking my mind in sequence.
Another interesting fact “Those who receive more hugs are somewhat more protected”
It is giving me a chance to retrospect my past- My Life, My Actions and My Words. What is sure is- There is nothing like “Free Hugs” in this world, it comes with good deeds.
