Fresh from my Gratitude journal

November 30, 2016

December is here. I admit I am crossing my fingers wishing the year to end soon. Its not that 2016 holds nothing good but it was disturbing on personal fronts.

It was like a turbulent Sea and now, I want to relish the calm currents.

Its yesterday when my long-time colleague and I were discussing the affect Time had on each of us. He is one of the persons who always have honest opinions about everything and I was happy to know that I changed for better.

I owe this change to my Blog through which I am knowing myself more. Blogging gave me much needed space to explore and grow.

No matter how the time and people are treating you, there is always something you can be grateful for. Don’t you agree?

I am grateful for the small moments which became my helm amidst the storms. Now, year is about to bid farewell and I am grateful for happy November.

Winters are here and I love everything cozy- Blankets, Soft wools, Fogs and not to forget, SOUPS. I am discovering the power of these health packed bowls. My Kiddo has started resisting daily bath and I am lovin’ it as he want me to cut-short his bathing time which was just opposite in Summers. You know how much Kids love water. Thankfully, it saves much of my morning time.

There is a wave of demonetization in our country but net-banking and plastic money saved me from the trouble. For my daily purchases, I look upon my Husband to lend me few 100s. All in all, it saved my time and effort.

I won “A letter to Zindagi” contest conducted by Blogadda and I received couple movie tickets for the movie #DearZindagi. I am so excited to watch it because it will be our first movie together being Parents. The last movie we enjoyed was “Shaadi ke side effects” around 3 years back. I am planning to keep it as a surprise for our wedding anniversary next month.

I am not an avid Book reader but currently my mornings begin with a book “Conscious Living” by Swami Rama. Its so good that I can read it on repeat. I will be sharing my takeaways in the coming days.

My Blog crossed 1000 comments and I am thankful to all the peeps who read my posts and take time to share their views. I want to tell you all that you make me smile each time I read those wonderful comments. I request you all to keep showing your love and support.

After a long long time, I took along my laptop to my Mother’s place and we both enjoyed an old movie together. Though, our eyes flooded but its our common trait and we cannot help it. We laughed too and relished the movie along with tea and snacks. I am thankful to have her in my Life. Time spend with her is a stress buster to me.

My Kiddo has started asking for a Book during sleep time rather than YouTube poems. As a Mother who loves reading, I am happy to see this change in him.

November is my birthday month and this time, I ticked off 1 more bucket list wish- To run a marathon. Though for fun, it was an experience worth sharing.

As I am finishing writing, I realized there are lot many things I am grateful for.

  • Hi Upasna,

    Love your sense of gratitude.

I intend to do stuff with love. To be helpful. To act from a space of love. For so being helps me do the things that I am most grateful for. And also helps me see the things I feel most grateful for. Namely, everything 🙂
