Cherished memories- Loving letters from Father

July 30, 2016

I bumped into something very interesting today- A fest to share your most cherished object.

Right then, I knew what to share- Though, I already shared about it once here but that’s the Truth- the most Cherished thing in my Life or I must¬† say cherished memories.

Letters are something which we used to wait for, not casual letters but Letters filled with Love, Inspiration and Motivation– Letters from our Father who was far lived for his Job.

They are symbol of his Love for us, his wish to see a Good human being in us, his desire to know what makes us happy.

We got too excited to read those Loving letters- For they reveal what will be our Next gift when Papa will come Home.

We used to collect colored pens and bright stickers to make those letters look pretty. We used our best Handwriting as if we will win the prize.

Back in our Minds we were little afraid to read the lines which were meant to guide us and hop directly to the ones where Papa appreciate us for marks and other good deeds. Childish we!

Papa used to inspire us using all the Languages we know, while writing out to him.

He once, wrote a single letter and same content in 3 languages- Hindi, English and Punjabi. What a beautiful way to teach us. To his expectation, we replied him in the same manner- in 3 languages.

Almost every letter had one thing in common- Our request for him to come back soon. However, we knew its not possible but still we did not hesitate to repeat it every time.

Not only our achievements but we used to share our New year resolutions with him- He introduced us to the “concept of resolutions” very early and asked us to stick with them.

Reading those resolutions make me Laugh now.

So Childish, so funny, so loving are those letters that they bring Tears of Joy every time I read them.

Those were the times when we used to wait to read his heart out so patiently- Every single sentence stitched with Love.

I still have all of them with me which have turned into cherished memories now.
