Handing over my space to lovely Lady-

When Upasna of Life Through my Bioscope sent me an email, inviting me to share a day of my life as a blogger, I was delighted.  I have given many interviews and written guest posts, but

love laugh

I have never shared a day of my life as a blogger or writer.

To begin with, I have two blogs. Love Laugh and Reflect (www.purba-chakraborty.com) is a lifestyle and creative writing blog. Purba’s Library (www.purbareviews.blogspot.in) is an entertainment blog where I mainly write book reviews. Both the blogs are more than 2 years old. Apart from being a regular blogger, I am an author of 3 books and a web content developer. I am from Kolkata and I work from my home office.

I usually wake up by 9 am. I start my day with a few minutes of meditation. Then I read a motivational book or articles of speaking tree, listen to music and have a hearty breakfast. I sit at my desk at 10 am. I check my emails and my social media channels. Then, I start working according to the To-Do-List that I had prepared before going to bed the last night.

I take a break from 2-4 during which I have my lunch, read and relax. I try to finish my deadlines for the day by 6 pm. Then, I visit my blogs and reply to the comments of the readers. On some days, I work on a new post and after publishing it, I share it on my social media channels. I visit Indiblogger to read, like and share the posts of other bloggers in my network. Blogging is not only about publishing new posts; it is also about connecting with fellow bloggers.

After having my dinner at 10 pm, I usually work on a novel/short story/poem for some time. Some days, I keep on writing 1000 words. On some other days, I restrict myself to 300-500 words. I prepare the To-Do-List for the next day before leaving my desk. Then I read a book and listen to music till I feel sleepy. That’s how a typical day in my life goes.

I try to write 2-3 blog posts every week. I am usually very active on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google +. I am also exploring Affimity these days, which is a nice platform for bloggers. Indiblogger and Poets United are my favorite blogging communities where I am very active. Blogmint and BlogAdda are also great blogging communities. It feels great that I have come across so many likeminded and talented people through blogging.

I also have plans to try Vlogging regularly. I think it is great for sharing travel experiences and also for reviewing products. I recently did a video book review and enjoyed it. So let me see if Vlogging works well for me. I also wish to start a new section called “Memoirs” on my blog “Love Laugh and Reflect”. I also plan to start a fiction series sometime soon on my blog.

Blogging is such an integral part of my life. It is the place where I can experiment with various kinds of projects, get instant feedback and give flight to my dreams. It is also the place which helps me to polish my writing skills. Thanks Upasna for giving me this space to share about my life as a blogger.

Hope you enjoyed reading it. If you have any questions for Purba- We are here.
