Being a Mother to a Toddler, I am sharing the uses of Mustard oil for Babies as now I use it myself for my Kid.
Mustard oil is also known as “sarson ka tel” in Hindi, “sorshe tel” in Bengali, “rai ka tel” in Punjabi, “Kadugu Ennai” in Tamil. It has lots of medicinal benefits and is used extensively for babies and kids in South Asia.
Note: Do not use mustard oil before your Baby turns 6 months old.

Tested benefits of Mustard oil for Babies
I put a drop of Mustard oil in Navel
Take 1-2 drops of the oil on your fingers and apply on their belly button, rubbing in a circular motion all around it. You can do this anytime but I prefer it doing After-bath or before Night-sleep.
It helps in digestion and keep their Lips soft.
I use it as a mosquito repellent:
The strong and pungent smell of mustard oil can have an effect against insects. Moreover, it acts as an Itch soother after mosquito bites.
I use it for Teeth and gums
Mix few drops of mustard oil with Salt and apply on their Teeth and Gums.
I do this once a week. It helps whiten teeth and kill bacteria which produce acids leading to teeth discoloration.
I use it for Massage in Winters
Mustard oil is Good for head massage as it help in stimulating hair growth.
Body Massage with mustard oil can help in reducing cough and cold during winters. Put one or two cloves of garlic in mustard oil and heat the oil. Now strain and use it for massage on chest, back and feet, massaging in circular motions.
Massaging with mustard oil also improves blood circulation and helps in muscle and bone growth.
Note: Mustard oil can also cause allergic reactions in some babies. Always test on a small portion of body to see if baby is able to tolerate the massage oil. You can also add few drops of water to reduce the pungent effect of the oil.
