I remember since childhood, whenever I hear or read those bad and negative news I used to get boiled in anger. I used to take them personally and abused the accused ending with a debate at Home.
I was not understanding that it was transferring the negativity from TV to our Home. And then I stopped watching news.It’s important to know whats going on in the world – but it’s more important to focus on the things we can change unlike the happenings in the world. I rather read the newspaper rather than watching it on TV or online whenever I feel like. It saves me from indulging in negativity.
Not only negative news or people, these days people tend to gather negative energy while watching positive things too.
Just take the example of any social media channel. There are people who feel jealous watching others happy or inferior when they observe more superior (in their personal terms) or Sad watching others making fun when they don’t. They collect negativity. What’s the point to poke around if it makes you feel negative.

Prefer not to watch Horror or Violent or Abusive content. It increases your anxiety levels and you tend to feel more negativity.

Cut off temporarily from the people who makes you feel uneasy. Talk to them about this if possible.

Helping someone in needs is a 2-in-1 deal. Not only the person who needs help would be happy but you would feel light and positive.
Do what you love
Engage in what you really love. It boosts natural ‘feelgood’ chemicals.
Learn to say NO to the commitments which does not give you happiness or contentment at the end. Do not take every opportunity offered just for the sake of money or humbleness. It only ends up making you uncomfortable and dissatisfied.
