We are Back again with a Blogger who finds solace in Poetry and serves Humanity through his Profession. He is a romantic tea lover who never fails to amaze us with his words. You can always find him smiling and sharing his Life at https://doc2poet.wordpress.com

Here goes the Doc-

First of all thank you for inviting me to write a piece for your series.

Blogging for me is a relatively unhackneyed territory but there’s one thing that keeps me pulling towards it; poetry. I’ve not always been an ardent acolyte of poetry but things changed a few years ago. Blogging  introduced me to new forms of poetries, the haiku, the sonnet, freestyle, etc and I tried my hand at each. I write in Hindi more often than in English and I’ve started to like Spanish too; it’s too poetic in itself to miss out. With blogging I have also met some wonderful people; each one at the zenith of their forte and an inspiration for beginners like me. I thank Upasna once again to give me this opportunity to reach out to more bloggers out there. Here’s a day from my life and of course poetry is all over it.

Poetry  means  emotions; love, laughter  and  pain,

 It  tends  to  my  wounds  and  keeps  me  sane,

के  कविता  से  इन  मद्धम  गीतों   को  साज़  मिल  जाते  हैं,

 और  दिल  से  रिसते  जज़्बात  को  अल्फ़ाज़  मिल  जाते  हैं,

These  words  extricates  my  soul  and  quells  disdain,

 If  I  am  a  scorching  desert  then  poetry  is  my  rain,

के  काव्य  करता  है  मुझे  रिहा, और   ख्वाबों  को  उड़ान  देता  है,

 दिखाता  है  ये  इंद्रधनुष  और  रंगों  ज़ुबान  देता  है ,
उमंगों  को  ज़ुबान  देता  है ||

Thank you J

    I thought it is only me who thinks Spanish is poetic … Wow.. 🙂 I couldn’t complete the beginners course in Spanish in Duolingo while I was in college.. it was frowned upon by my parents as a waste of time.. Till today I hum to the tunes of ‘Benvenuto’ by Laura Pausini.. the one Spanish song I listened to in the tutorials.. missing it..

    Love the poetry here.. and the translation too.. such exquisite use of words.. you are blessed..!!!
