One morning, she decided to move out of Joint Family.
She asked her husband if he will come along or not. She did not want to force upon her decision to move away from his parents.
Being a Mother now, she understands the pain to be away from Kids.
He coldly replied- “I will come for our Son. Who knows, how you will treat him.”
She recalled that once she slapped their Son when he was at the top of his tantrum throwing and she herself sulked for hours.
She broken into pieces for being labeled “A BAD MOTHER”.

Upasan, very touching tale! For person so understanding, being wrongly labelled is traumatic. My heart goes out to her…

Mom guilt is worse and it doubles up when someone points it out. Few lines say too much what an entire page might not be able to convey, I loved reading this post.
I have enjoyed a lot my mothers scolding. Even my father sometimes asked my mother to beat me up. Poor me. LOL
Ha Ha, In previous Era it was like – a day is not complete without scolding from Mother. Thanks for reading and commenting. Hope to see you around often reading other tales too and give your valuable feedback.
beautiful story and maybe story of many women. sometimes i scold my son too though never abused him physically but yes i sulk for hours after that.

Ahhh that’s so painful for Mothers. Why can’t people accept that Mothers can be distressed sometimes. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Richa.
Ah! guilt tripping the mother without caring to walk in her shoes. So sad yet so rampant.
A moving piece Upasna.
Thanks Era. A Mother who does everything for child does not have the liberty to loose once a while. Its not fair.
