That day ” A story was out” – 16:11:2016

I heard about NaNoWriMo for the first time last year and checked out what it was all about. For those who do not know:

is an annual event in which people are encouraged to write a novel with at least 50,000 words over the 30 days of November.

I did not stand anywhere to join. I was a novice in writing and still I cannot call myself a Writer but only a Story teller who shares whatever the Life teaches.

When October came, I had story in my head but it was not-so-short to be told in single post.

But the story had to come out as it was making me restless.

That is why, I decided to register with NaNoWriMo with no intent to write a novel but to narrate a story. I started November with so much of excitement.

Day 1 ended with few words. May be the inspiration was missing. It was then Damyanti from Daily Write pinged me and asked me to participate in Twitter group of established writers.

I felt small among them but she pushed me to write with regular sprints. There I was, exhausted but managed to pull out around 4000 words in 4 days.

My story was still incomplete. I started again on 16th Day and manged to pull it off. A story was out with 5K+ words.

I failed NaNoWriMo but I wrote more than I’ve ever written before for a single story. It feels amazing.

I am not sure if I am able to share it with the world someday but my mind came clean.

Did you had story waiting to come out?

Oh seriously well done! I’ve never herd of NaNoWriMo but I adore the idea of it! I may look into doing this this year – I’m 3/4 through a novel but haven’t touched it for a year since blogging – maybe this is the kick I will need to finish it! Thank you for an inspirational piece and I hope you publish your story one day xx #FamilyFun

Sometimes even we don’t know what we are capable of till we are pushed into something. Good going with that story. And I do hope you share it someday.
