After you have done recording your first few episodes, you now need to host and distribute podcast across the available platforms.
You need a hosting platform to store your mp3 files and provide you with a single link to all your episodes which is basically RSS feed for distribution across multiple platforms.
There are many Free as well as Paid hosting platforms. But as a beginner who is still testing the waters, you should go for free hosting.
Free popular Hosting platforms:
- Anchor
- Podbean
- Soundcoud
- Spreaker
- Podcasts.com
- Squarespace

If you have a Blog on WordPress, you can choose in built hosting services which allows you to record, play and publish without leaving your blog. Some of them are:
- Lisbyn
- Buzzsprout
- Blubrry powerpress
- Simple podcast press

Now when you have decided your Host, you cannot sit and relax. You need to have it all over the internet and not just a single platform. This is why we need to distribute it across multiple platforms to have more listeners. Some of them are-
- Tunein for Alexa
- Soundcloud
- Apple podcasts
- Google podcatss
- Spotify
- Stitcher
- Breaker
- Castbox
- Podbean

Some hosting platforms does the distribution automatically for some platforms and you will be notified when its available. For some, you need to manually submit your RSS.
If you are choosing WordPress hosting, you need to syndicate a podcast across every platform, set up an account with each and submit the show’s RSS feed to create the initial connection.

Hi Upasana Ma’am!
A few months ago, I have started a podcast on Anchor. The podcast was started for one of my Hindi blogs.
But I have failed to continue this. Due to the lack of communication and scripting skill.
Then what to do, learn those skills or skip podcast?
Thanks in advance,
Haseeb Alam
