Tough times doesn’t last for long but still they seem like centuries. The challenge is about “how to be happy in tough times” as its not good to wear that sad face for long.

How to be happy in tough times

We all go through the rough patches sometime or the other. However recently, we all were together in this during COVID-19 lockdown. Things are getting better but still a long way to go before we can move freely and life comes back to normal again.

There are few things which helped me to be happy in tough times and cope better.


Nature is the best mood-lifter. Nothing heals faster than being in Nature. Gardening, nature walks and star gazing are the miracle medicines. You can grow something or the other even if you don’t have much space. Start with Microgreens or Methi or Coriander and Mint.

Creating Memories

Memories have great power to melt down our worries. They make us nostalgic, they help us remember good times and flipping through the memory pages always bring a smile.

I always prefer printed photos than the digital ones. This is why I get them printed; be it parenting memories, travel tales or Party celebrations. I love creating them and I trust Zoomin for this. This time, I got an Album printed as a family of 4 now.


Cooking is another thing that helps but Baking is therepeutic. Aroma of bread baking in the oven is heavenly. Just try your hands on anything from baking a simple bread or a birthday Cake.


By writing it doesn’t mean that you have to write a book or an article. It simply means to indulge in writing using pen and paper; be it anything- your life experiences, your milestones, your journey, things you are thankful for or a love note or letter to someone.

I write about my blessings, I write for my Blog and Podcast and I write about my Kids quirky habits.


DIYs helps you being busy and creative. Making something out of waste gives you immense satisfaction.

There are so many options- handmade card for loved ones, miniature models, science experiments with kids, DIY toys and handmade home decor items.

    Simple yet useful tips to get through difficult times! I read a book or binge-watch a show when I feel blue. Basically, escape to a magical world for some time when things seem depressing and broken.
