Funny things Kids say – From the mouth of a 3 year old

February 7, 2018
Kids say the funniest things

Kids say the funniest things!

They make the most honest remarks and express openly with innocence.

Sometimes the things they say have no meaning, sometimes they’re extremely funny, and sometimes they awe us with their smartness and truthfulness.

I love to store memories but It’s not possible to express everything through photos so I keep the record of quirky things my Toddler say or innocent acts he does.

  • CURIOUSITY

One Day while we were sitting together:
Me: ” Ek idea aa raha hai”
Kid: ” Dikhao”
Me: “Mind mein hai”
Kid: “Kab bahar ayega?”

{Tr.:

Me: “An idea is coming”
Kid: “Show me”
Me: “It’s in my mind”
Kid: “When will it come out?”]

  • QUICKNESS

While we were out in a Park taking slides:

I said “See chota baby”

The kid immediately said “Apke tummy se bahar aa gaya?”
and I couldn’t stop laughing and blushing.

[Tr.:

I said “See small baby”

The kid immediately said “Did it came out of your tummy?”
and I couldn’t stop laughing and blushing.]

  • FUNNY

While Kiddo was sitting on his potty seat:

He pointed down to his Scrotum and asked me “Ismein kya hai?”

Me “Mujhe nahipata.”

Kid “Ismein cell hai and abhi Susu niklega”

We (Hubby and I) had a good laugh looking at each other.

[Tr.: He pointed down to his Scrotum and asked me “What’s inside this?”

Me “I don’t know”

Kid “It has Batteries and now pee will come out”

We (Hubby and I) had a good laugh looking at each other.

  • HELPING

He spilled out the water on the table and when I returned with a cloth:

It was already cleaned. Kid took away the hanging towel and cleaned it.

Saying “Maine apkagharsaafkardiya”  [Tr.: I cleaned your House”]

I hugged him for his helping attitude.

  • CUTENESS

One day he saw me crying after I slapped him
He wiped away my tears and Later asked me “Mumma pani nikalo eyes se”
Me: “Wo tears hote hain, pani nahi. Main ro rahi thi.”
He said “Kyun”
Me: “mujhe acha nahi lagta apko marke”
Kid: “Tears dobara nikalna” and repeated this non-stop.

I laughed at this innocence of him.

[Tr.: One day he saw me crying after I slapped him
He wiped away my tears and later asked me “Mumma, water from eyes again”
I said “Those were tears as I was crying”
He said, “Why?”
I: “I don’t feel good after punishing you”
Kid: “Take tears out again” and repeated this non-stop.]

  • INNOCENCE

He did something good to make me happy.
Saying “Mumma, mujhe benshins do”
Me: “Mujhe samajh nahi aya Beta, kya keh rahe ho”
Kid: Jab hum hkisi ki elp karte hain, to benshins milti hain na.
Me: (Awww) God bless you my bacha.

[He meant Blessings]

[Tr.: He did something good to make me happy.
Kid: “Mumma, give me benshins
Me: “I did not get it, what are you trying to say?”
Kid: “When we help someone, we get benshins
Me: (Awww) God bless you my bacha.[He meant Blessings]

  • SMARTNESS-

I was using Sieve for sieving milk for him.

He saw it and said “Ye machine hai”?  [Tr.: Is this a machine?”]

I was so happy that he has co-related it so wisely.

This is such a cute post, Upasna! Kids can give the most profound gyan in the simplest ways. I wrote such posts for my son when he was younger and they make me smile even now. You’re right. These quirks can never be photographed.

This was so damn cute and adorable, Upasna. I could so relate to it as have a daughter close to 3yo old. Kids do say funniest things at times, esp those times when you wana scold them but can’t help laughing at their innocence. Kids are super adorable esp when they start talking and are learning and getting aware of their surroundings.

Love this post… We Speak Chinese and English at home and I find it difficult to relate to people why things are funny! This is a great way to do it… it keeps the meaning! Well done… great post.
