When everyone tag next generation as Social Media addicts, I don’t blame them but us. They, every time, see us glaring at these screens and must wonder, what is so lucrative that they(us) forget real people while active on the virtual world.
Social media is a tool to connect us with the world but we are using it to divert us from the real Job. We get so much fascinated by those perfect Pinterest pictures, showy Instagram pics and endless Facebook streams.
What a person normally do? Sign up on all the social media platforms without even knowing the difference between them.
For a person who uses Social media only for personal updates- I don’t think Twitter or Facebook serves any different? Is it?
Not only real Life, we need to get hold of our Virtual lives too as we spend much of our time on Social media. If we leave it unbounded, it may cause harm rather than the good.
Overdose of information makes a person feel stressed. There is so much of offensive talks, mocking and pulling down on social media these days. Its chaos that spreads negativity.
Fear of missing out, Dissatisfaction, Comparison- All these are the by products of social media.
We cannot just turn our face away or just instruct our children to not use it but rather teach them “how to use social media mindfully”
Just like being overwhelmed after looking at the overflowing stuff at Home, online streaming can be overwhelming too. We need to be conscious while using the social channels.
The endless scrolling down is addictive-
We people get so crazy about sharing pics with unknowns, be friends with someone we hardly had talked to and opinionated about what others say.
