storytelling for kids

Storytelling for kids is a skill you can imbibe in your Kids from a very small age as  Storytelling is something which a Kid of every age enjoys.

It improves their language skills, imaginative power and help them gain confidence.

Its also a great way to engage with Kids and spend some constructive time together.

Storytelling for Kids can encourage development of emotions and feelings in a child while they try to express their imaginative characters.

Colgate packs are coming with interesting space exploration & launching stories inside them that Kids can cut, play & learn.

Here they are:

We made up a story and my Kid enjoyed it a lot.

There were 2 siblings- Ora and Inu who dream of becoming Astronauts and go into space. Though they are too small for making their dream come true, they make imaginative stories when one day they are set to launch into space.

“The day has come when they are ready to launch and so excited to begin their journey. They are equipped well with space suits which would help them breathe in the space where oxygen is less.

They bid farewell to their Families with a smile. Everyone wished them good luck. Countdown has begun and Rocket has been launched. They were little nervous at the start but when Rocket has exit from the surface of earth and reached the space, they got relaxed.

They noticed a meteor running towards the earth surface but destroyed it with their space gun and saved the earth. They move ahead in their journey and met Mars first, a red planet but went away as there may be a volcano erupting. Then, they met Jupiter whose rings are made of dust and stones. Their spaceship was hit by falling stones from the Jupiter rings. They increased the speed and went further. They started feeling cold as when they reach near Saturn rings which are made of ice particles.

While they were going towards Pluto, their was a knock on the door of their spaceship. They were little scared so Inu took his gun along- There was a huge green colored creature who introduced himself as an Alien. Inu faced the gun towards the alien and asked him why he has come.

Alien asked Inu to calm down in a  friendly tone and listen to him first. Inu listened to him patiently while Alien was telling his story- How he has separated from his family and his planet is in danger.

Alien requested Inu to come along with him to save his planet from Monsters. Inu nodded and invited Alien inside the spaceship. They became friends and shared their food with him.

Inu sent the rover first on the planet to look out for any danger. When they did not found anything dangerous, they left their spaceship. Alien asked them to sit in his own space vehicle which helped them to reach the planet without any difficulty.

They reached the planet and saved it from Monsters. They installed the flag of “Earth” on their Planet so that no one in the future comes there to fear those Aliens.

Alien gifted Inu his own space vehicle which made him happy. They came back to their spaceship and went back to earth. They told the story and everyone praised them for their bravery and goodness.”

Storytelling for kids is very interactive and it helped my Kid forming long sentences at age of 2.5 years.

“I’m blogging my #ColgateMagicalstories at BlogAdda in association with Colgate.” My Toddler suggested the Character names and his questions prompted me to create a story for him. He clapped at the end when he understood that they have won.

Thanks for reading Maniparna. Inu is my Kid’s nick name and Ora is his Cousin’s. He was really happy and when he saw those packet characters on TV, he exclaimed “jaise mere pas hain”
