Let me be honest. I chose this book for it promising cover and I am glad to say, it did not disappointed me.
About the Author:
VT Rakesh, after completing his graduation, landed in the holy land of Gujarat.
Bitten by the world of magical realism of a Garcia Marquez, Thriller tales of a Maclean or an Archer, nationalistic fervour of a Tharoor or a Nilekani, he finally took his dive to the deep ocean of writing.
About the Book: The Thorough Check
As I started reading the book, I lacked interest because of the not-so-hooked beginning but as I reached subsequent chapters, my curiosity piqued. I started looking for the answers.
Thumbs up to Author’s imagination and detailed Life of Indian Fishermen. I never have seen or experienced their struggles in the vast Seas. Author rightly described them as “Men of Steel”.
A twist in the tale behind a plotted terrorist is what makes the Book more interesting. Though there are mistakes related to tenses and grammar but still the book wants you to read it till the end.
Amazing description of Indian economic hierarchical system with crisp character sketching but it would be better to address the tale as a third person.
Author could stitch the story more flawlessly though. Overall, it was a nice read as it gives insight into the Life of Indian Muslims.
WRITING STYLE: 3/5
I would recommend this Book to anyone who loves to read about India, its people and Patriotic stories.
