preserving memories

“Why to collect memories when you are happily spending time being a Parent?”

Ask me and I will tell you that preserving memories has hidden benefits.

Good memories have the power to uplift you in times of despair and sadness. Time spent in collecting memories never goes waste. Writing memories would help us to be grateful.

There are many small happy and proud moments in Parenting that you’ll want to remember forever. Not only the first step, first smile but the small fun moments whose memories fade away with time.

Everything else can wait but your kids’ memories will live with them forever.

These small moments may seem not-so-special to us now but gives immense happiness when read or seen back. Documenting these moments help us cherish our Kid’s presence in our lives, a little more.

Even if you have lack of Time, you can keep these memories in so many ways.

Easy and creative ways for preserving memories

Collecting memories is all about celebrating Life. Record the happy and quirky moments by keeping the photos, mementos, hand, and footprints.

You can store the memories physically as well as digitally. I myself prefer Digital storage when it comes to Photos and recording daily activities. However, keeping the things physically has its own charm.

Whatever way you choose, start preserving memories for Lifetime.

    Indeed an interesting read.

So far I have recorded almost every single memory from the time I got married, because i know I will have nothing in my hand except those memories that I will cherish later on when I grow too old.

Absolutely.. Memories are the best gift to give our children… I still enjoy going through our old photographs of picnics, vacations, birthdays as a child.. when we didn’t have the digital cams and had to print out our pics … flipping pages of those albums is pure happiness

I love these ideas. I had started a baby book but never got around to finishing it. I think I might do shadow box and memory wall.

So true. Kids are growing up so fast and many a times we fail to notice the importance of the moment in which we are living. If we preserve these moments, these moments will for sure live with us, even if our little ones fly out

How do we store memories? Where do we store memories? In our heart? mind? devices? printed? cloud? At times all the devices fail but its the heart which keeps on revisiting those allies and lanes where we had left behind a moment, some happy some tears too .

Nice approach towards preserving memories beyond photos. Kids grow up so fast. Being a mother I know joy of reliving memories time and again 🙂

So true in the end all we have is memories. I often cherish my little ones toddlerhood years by going through the pics and videos and it brings back all those moments. Nice write up Upasna.

Baby scrapbook & the wall with pictures is an awesome idea. Adding pictures in the room makes them lively. 🙂

These days almost everyone uses digital storage, including myself. But my mother gets a few photos printed every now and then. It’s like a therapy going through an album(hard copy) and rejoicing a happy memory!

I agree that photos have their own charm. I personally like to feel the hard copy. But now when we want to click every single moment it is not possible to develop all of them which space occupying also.
I love the idea you presented to save every moment of love to cherish in times of despair.

I agree with you. I started writing my blog when my son was young and I have many fond moments of him written in it. They might be small now but they mean a lot later on.
