PUTTING GRATITUDE INTO PRACTICE

May 27, 2017

I am trying to put this habit of writing Gratitude journal into practice. We all have our Gratitude moments; small or big. It does not come easy but with practice – We need to look around for the things which make our Life easy or make us thankful.

Moreover rather than cribbing for the things that won’t work out, its a great way to look back at the month by counting the blessings.

If you have not tried it, I must say START NOW

Keep a journal/diary and write about the things you were grateful for. You can make it a daily practice or weekly or monthly, whatever suits you best.

TIPS FOR WRITING GRATITUDE JOURNAL

You may find it difficult to write a word at the beginning but when you start it, things will flow easily

The journal need not to be display worthy or cost you a buck.

Keep the journal near your Bed so that you don’t skip.

A good event, experience, person, or thing in your lifeโ€”then enjoy the good emotions that come with it.

MAY, I AM GRATEFUL TO YOU FOR…

  • Spending quality time with my Mother on Mothers Day. We went out for window shopping which was accompanied by chit chats. Thankfully there was a Kids zone which kept the Kid busy and happy.
  • Thankful for his school for involving them in the making a gift for Mothers day.
  • My last moment plan to visit my Cousin’s place. The Kids had fun time together. I feel bonding only develop if we meet often. It gave me an opportunity to rewind and refresh.
  • My Son had his first bus(non-ac) journey. He enjoyed it and did not behave cranky as I was expecting.
    Thankful for his behavior.
  • Won an online writing campaign run by UC News WeMedia for Mothers Day.

Last but not least-

First E-book launch by Blogchatter. I must say- It was not my dream but is a fruit of efforts and a month of sleepless nights- My first E-book is out.
“A-Z of Minimalism” now available over Amazon at a petty price of 1$ just to support my writings :

I agree that Gratitude is a way of life. I don’t use a journal but I save things on Evernote/online and then put it all together at the end of the month.
I have been writing Gratitude Lists for over 2 years now and it’s now a part of life. Not just my blog ๐Ÿ™‚

Keeping a gratitude journal is a beautiful thing, Upasna. I totally buy into the idea. I’ve been keeping one for years although I’ve not been able to write in it on a regular basis. At the moment, too many things going on in life so blogging has been put on hold. But, I think I’ll start off with something soon. I know I have to check out the E-book that I’ve promised you last time. Will do it over the week. Have a great Monday and a brilliant week ahead ๐Ÿ™‚

I was keeping a daily journal but stopped midway. Getting into the habit now, I think I can move on to daily one . The E-book is also available on Goodreads Esha. Thanks for being here.

Writing a gratitude journal is a great idea and prompted by Vidya I have tried it a few times but then the rush of daily life takes over and I give up. Need to get back to it again – there really are so many things I am grateful for this past month.

I can understand Tulika- Its appreciable to manage everything with Twins. I was too letting it go but now I have made it mandatory for myself to write it down. Its the best way to feel good.

I agree, Upasna. Feeling grateful on a regular basis helps with maintaining a positive frame of mind. I don’t maintain a normal but I do wow monthly gratitude posts regularly. May you have a good June.

I have kept a gratitude journal off and on. Have one but have not been regularly putting in my entries. Think I should atleast once a week.

I once kept a gratitude jar wherein we would write our gratitude in small chits and then we opened them all on New Years. It was a lovely experience.

Once a week is a great idea but I think once a Month is working good with me. WOW opening a jar full of year old gratitude things is a lovely way to welcome new year. This way we can’t say the year passed was not good.
